Kapamilya star Kim Chiu is the overwhelming favorite cover girl among readers of the women’s magazine Cosmopolitan.
Cosmopolitan, which is marking its 15th year this month, polled its readers on their favorite cover and the November 2010 issue featuring Chiuwas far and away the top pick with 80.5% of the votes as of May 31.
In second place was the April 2012 cover with actress Marian Rivera with 11.83% of the votes.
Chiu is on the cover of the magazine’s June issue – her third for Cosmopolitan since her she shot her first cover for the April 2009 edition. Her latest appearance shows off “a fiercer, more fearless self-assurance that we absolutely love,” the magazine said on its website.
“You can really see how much she's changed in the last two years since her last Cosmo cover,” Cosmopolitan editorial director Myrza Sison said on the magazine's website. “She’s all woman now, and she exudes more confidence, more attitude.”
Chiu’s latest cover was shot by veteran photographer Xander Angeles, with styling by Ana Kalaw and Happy Lopez. Cristine Duque did the actress’ makeup, while Brent Sales did her hair.
“There’s a certain glow sa kanya ngayon, kaya ang ganda ng labas ng cover,” Angeles said of Chiu.
Cosmo readers approved of her latest cover.
“Kim Chiu has grown by leaps and by bounds! She looks better now more than ever and has emerged a winner despite several setbacks she encountered. I can't help but admire this lady, she has matured right in front of our eyes. I just hope to see more of her in your future covers,” according to an anonymous comment on the magazine’s website.
“I’m soooo happy when I saw Kim Chiu on cover. I readily grabbed a copy. I was ovrwhelmed, wow! Thanks to all the staff of Cosmopolitan for featuring my super idol, Kimmy,” Jean Taping said on the magazine’s Facebook page.

Meanwhile, Cosmopolitan also asked its readers to pick their favorite Cosmo Centerfold. Actor Aljur Abrenica, who appeared for the magazine’s centrefold in 2009, was the favorite with 32.76% of votes.
Cosmo Centerfold 2004 Brent Javier ranked second with 24.09% of the votes.
