Dingdong Dantes has no issues with longtime girlfriend Marian Rivera teaming up with their fellow Kapuso talent Richard Gutierrez in the return of hit reality TV series, "Extra Challenge."
The real and reel life couple will temporarily part ways after starring on "My Beloved" for their individual pursuits. As for Dingdong, he is set to star with Kylie Padilla in the upcoming series, "Haram."
"Why not? That's good. At least, may trabaho siya (Marian). At saka, basta ba enjoy siya sa gagawin niya. And for me, may reason kung bakit siya kinuha for that," Dingdong told PEP in an interview posted on Sept. 26.
Instead, the actor believes that this project is a "good" opportunity for the prized Kapuso actress to "explore her different talents para kahit paano, hindi rin siya burnt-out sa pag-arte lang."
"Bakit naman hindi niya gawin ang isang bagay na may pangangailangan sa kanya? Dahil maaaring, you know, siguro may nakita sa kanya na something noong ginawa nila ang 'Pinoy Adventure' na talagang bumagay sa kanya," said he, referring to the weekly show hosted by Richard where Marian appeared as guest last month.
More, Dingdong revealed, "Alam ko, gusto rin niyang (Marian) gumawa ng hosting stint. And finally, this is it, regardless kung sino ang kasama niya."
Meanwhile, in a previous interview with Bulletin Entertainment, Richard expressed his excitement over working on TV with Marian for the first time. He also revealed then that the show will officially be launched by first week of November.
Speaking of Marian, rumors circulating as of late have it that her highly anticipated film with Kapamilya actor Coco Martin has been shelved. Tentatively titled "Hanggang Ngayon," it was said to be directed by Maryo J. delos Reyes and produced by Regal Entertainment. However, no official word has been given yet by the concerned camp as of this writing.
