Erich Gonzales, Si Mario Maurer Ang New Leading Man

Following the critical and commercial success of her latest starrer “Corazon: Ang Unang Aswang,” actress Erich Gonzales said she is ready to take on more daring roles given the right project.
No more "tweetums" for Erich Gonzales

During the thanksgiving party for the successful run of “Corazon,” Gonzales said she is no longer interested in doing “pa-tweetums” on television and film.

“Ayoko naman na nu’ng mga pa-tweetums, ‘yung mga pa-sweet. Gusto ko kakaibang projects po at pag maganda ‘yung story, go po tayo diyan (more daring roles),” she said.

After left-and-right accolades for her portrayal in “Corazon,” the “Maria la del Barrio” actress said she intends to continue learning through a host of acting experiences.

“Masaya po ako dahil nare-recognize po nila ‘yung acting skills ko. I don’t stop learning naman. Marami pa po akong gusto magawa,” she said.

Magic

Next off her checklist of to-do roles is getting paired with Asian heartthrob Mario Maurer in a Star Cinema film.

After “Corazon,” Gonzales hopped right off the periodic horror set and on to early preparation for her movie with Maurer.

“Right after ‘Corazon’ po, nag-prepare po kami agad for ‘Suddenly It’s Magic’ with Mario Maurer. Anytime soon, bibisita ulit siya,” she said.

On her latest leading man after Enchong Dee and Derek Ramsay, Gonzales only has nice things to say.

“When I met him po, talagang napaka-totoo niya, no air na celebrity, very sincere, napaka-humble talaga at very charming.”

She added, “Itong movie na ‘to napakaganda ng kwento. I can’t wait na masimulan na, syempre 'di ba pag binabasa mo 'yung script iba rin 'yung magagawa mo na. We’re all very excited talaga.”
