Kathryn Bernardo, Mas Nakilala si Enrique Gil

After arriving in the country last March 20, Kathryn Bernardo along with Enrique Gil went straight from the airport to the house blessing of Julia Montes in Antipolo. The 15-year-old actress said she is proud of the achievements of her former Mara Clara co-star. “Way namin ito na ipakita kay Julia na super proud kami sa kanya so dumiretso na kami dito,” she said of her coming straight from the airport with her The Princess and I co-star Enrique.

Kathryn admitted she enjoyed her stay in the Kingdom of Bhutan, which is located near countries like Nepal, China, and India.

The teen actress said that it was an unforgettable experience to shoot abroad in what is anticipated to be one of the Kapamilya network’s biggest and grandest teleseryes this year. “Kinakabahan ako (laughs). Pressured. Sana yung trust na yun huwag ma-break. Pinaghandaan namin ito. Before kami pumunta meron kaming parang workshops tapos nag-script reading kami. Kasi limited lang yung time namin, half day lang kami kasi puro day effect. So yun yung hirap.

The pretty morena also admitted she feels challenged by her teleserye project after Mara Clara and Growing Up. So sana magustuhan nila kasi super pinaghirapan namin ito,” she added.

Kathryn said The Princess and I is going to be very different from her past projects because of the Bhutanese culture. “Parang first time ata natin na magte-taping na ibang environment. Makikita ng audience. Tapos yung ibang language, tapos yung mga costumes, and yung character ko as Mikai na very, very different from Mara. So masasabi ko na super opposite ito from Mara and then yung story niya and environment, ibang-iba,” she revealed.

Kathryn said it has helped her character that she looks like the princess of Bhutan. “Sabi nila may ibang features ako na mukhang Bhutanese so sana mas makatulong yun para mas ma-appreciate ng tao yung show na ginawa namin,” she said.
