MANILA, Philippines – Television host and actor Luis Manzano said he cannot help but be proud of his mom, acclaimed actress Vilma Santos, for having been in the showbiz industry for 50 years.
StarStudio Magazine recently took a “golden glimpse into the life of a true screen queen.”
In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Thursday, Manzano said he is very happy for his mom considering how showbiz really works.
“Napakadaling sumikat but the key to this industry is longevity. My mommy, for 50 years, she’s at the top of her game pa rin,” he said.
Manzano said he is also glad that his mom is still able to come up with successful projects even after taking a break to focus on her political job. Santos is the incumbent governor of Batangas province.
“I’m very happy na still sa mga nagagawa niya, even if she took a long break, ay sinusuportahan pa rin at napakaganda pa rin ng kanyang mga nalalabas na proyekto,” he said.
Reports said Santos will fly to Hawaii soon and she is set to promote her latest movie “The Healing” once she returns to the Philippines.
