Robin Padilla wants to protect Mariel Rodriguez from further controversy

After the whole brouhaha which led to Ruffa Gutierrez resigning from her showbiz-oriented show last Sunday, Robin Padilla was asked to comment as to how his wife Mariel Rodriguez (who is one of the hosts of the show) reacted to event. The incident, as detailed on abs-cbnnews.com: “During the Saturday episode of the show, Gutierrez expressed discomfort during the ‘Bulong’ segment, asking why the questions were of such nature. The former beauty queen had been told to pick among three names of her former boyfriends for an answer to each of her co-hosts' question. One of the questions partly heard on air was "Who has the biggest...?"

Robin asked to abstain from commenting on the issue, saying he only has his wife’s interests at heart. Minsan na lang siya mag-ho-host, may singhalot pang nangyari,” he said during the 555 Tuna press conference held last June 27 at Annabel’s restaurant in Quezon City.

Robin explained to the media duing the event that he and Mariel are happy just enjoying a peaceful home life. Walang personal. Sa pamilya, wala. Same old story (laughs).

The action star also said that there are no plans for them to have their own baby yet. “Hindi muna, okay na kami. Maraming salamat,” he added.

The talented actor said that if there is one thing he needs to work on with himself, it is controlling his temper. “Araw-araw pag gising natin, new beginning.

Robin also gave updates on his reported movie project with Willie Revillame and his teleserye with Kris Aquino and Anne Curtis.
