Amid reports that his showbiz success has gone to his head and is now difficult to work with, actor Xian Lim insists that that he is still the same guy before he became famous.
"Always kong sinasabi as much as I try my best to please everyone, I can't really please everyone. Parang ang mapapakita ko lang sa kanila ay 'yung ako, 'yun lang ang pinapakita ko. I'm just happy that there are supporters. I look more sa positive side rather than the negative," Lim told reporters during the press launching of his newest show "Promil I-Shine Talent Camp" on Tuesday.
Lim said it's also good to hear criticisms like that as they remind him to continue to be a nice person.
"Okay din na naririnig ko 'yung mga ganoon para maisip ko din bakit nila nasabi 'yon. So I look back. Hopefully kapag nagkita kami, kung sino man ang nagsasabi ng ganoon ay makita nila ang totoong side ni Xian," he said.
He also cleared the issue saying that he threw tantrums while taping a show and shooting a commercial.
"May nag-explain sa akin niyan at 'yung details noong nangyari hindi po nagtugma sa mga ginawa kong commercials. So completely false kasi may pruweba po na kung i-search pa nila ang ibang commercials na ginawa ko ay wala pa," he said.
Instead of feeling distracted by criticism, Lim said he tries to stay focused on his job.
Lim said even with all the blessings coming his way, he really never changed.
"Oo naman (hindi ako nagbabago), of course not," he said.
