Fresh from her romantic vacation in the South of France and Portugal, Anne Curtis told Push.com.ph that she’s inspired to get back to work. Aside from hosting the noontime show Showtime, she’s currently busy taping episodes for Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw as well as shooting the movie Nothing Compares To You. “Oo dumating na ulit yung script for Week 2 dun sa teleserye. We finished the whole of week one. Sarado ko na lahat ng eksena ko. So ang kinukunan ata is Robin (Padilla) and ate Kris (Aquino),” she began.
According to Anne, working with Kris and Robin is refreshing because she gets to see their undeniable chemistry on cam. “Sobrang fun kasi it’s my first time to be working with them together. Nakakakilig sila panoorin at yung mga eksena nila together. At the same time, I feel so honored to be included in the same cast. They’re such an amazing people, siyempre ‘di ba, seniority ang mga ‘yan,” she happily exclaimed.
In the movie Nothing Compares To You, Anne is supposed to do a love triangle with Derek Ramsay and KC Concepcion. But as previously reported here on Push.com.ph, KC has decided to quit the movie in order to focus on her TV shows (X-Factor and Against All Odds) in ABS-CBN. When asked about her reaction on KC’s decision, Anne replied, “Yes, nag-back out siya. I understand her reasons completely. Siyempre, hindi niya siguro pa kaya, kaya she had to back out. I won’t say na sayang kasi baka there are other roles that are meant for her. Who knows we’ll get to work together [in the future].” Andi Eigenmann is said to replace KC for the role, but Anne refused to confirm it, adding that she’ll just wait for the official announcement.
Meantime, Anne is looking forward to revive her box office team-up with Derek in the said movie. “Siyempre sobrang kumportable na ako sa kanya. It’s a good feeling working with someone na alam mo na kung paano siya magtrabaho. Hindi na namin kailangan magworkshop because we know we can trust each other when it comes to scenes and acting. I’m very excited. It’s totally different from No Other Woman even if it’s still love triangle,” she said.
The beautiful actress further shared that she’s not pressured to come up with another huge hit, despite the public’s high expectations of her. Apparently, Vic del Rosario of Viva Films told her that she should just concentrate on making a good film. “He's like, never think that way. A box office is a box office hit. It’s not meant to happen again. If it happens, then good. Pero don’t do a movie thinking this has to be a box office hit. When you’re an actress, a performer, or an entertainer, you do it because you love what you do. And that’s how I feel about it.”
