GMA 7 ipalalabas na ang bagong Showbiz talk Show ang H.O.T TV

AFTER MORE than five years, showbiz-oriented talk show Showbiz Central aired its final episode last Sunday as listed GMA Network Inc. has decided to replace it with a new program that aims to go beyond the usual entertainment gossip and celebrity rumors.

Taking over the vacated time slot starting Sunday is the new showbiz news magazine program called HOT TV (Hindi Ordinaryong Tsismis).

Former Showbiz Central hosts Raymond Gutierrez and Jennylyn Mercado will be joined by showbiz insiders Roderick Paulate and Regine Velasquez-Alcasid on HOT TV, which airs head-to-head against ABS-CBN Corp.’s formidable showbiz talk show The Buzz.

Under the direction of Rico Gutierrez, HOT TV will feature a diverse mix of discussions of the latest trends and issues, as well as segments highlighting extraordinary personalities, and human interest stories.

Ms. Velasquez-Alcasid -- who has been absent from the showbiz scene for more than a year since the birth of her son Nathaniel James -- expressed her excitement to be going back on TV to host the show.

“The program’s interesting line-up of stories will not only hook viewers but also allow them to connect with the show’s uplifting and thoughtful discussions,” Ms. Velasquez-Alcasid told reporters last week.

“HOT TV aims to offer informative and inspirational TV experiences to viewers. With the program’s wide range of topics, it is all set to become the newest destination of intriguing interviews, extraordinary stories about ordinary people, features on supernatural events, investigative reports, et.,” she added.

Mr. Gutierrez, who has hosted various reality and musical variety shows on GMA, is thankful that the network has entrusted another project to him to host.

“All the trending topics will be discussed in this new show... This show will really be a new challenge for me,” Mr. Gutierrez told reporters.
HOT TV will air Sundays at 4 p.m. on GMA.
