PBB Teen Edition 4's Big Winner Myrtle Sarrosa refused to be affected by the negative response in various social media sites following her landslide win in the said reality show. The 19-year-old is confident that she can prove that she's deserving of the title especially now that they'll be given opportunities to join showbiz. "Of course mahe-hurt ako at first [sa negative tweets about me]. Pero na-realize ko na kanilang opinion yun. For me, masaya ako," she said during the Big 4's grand press con last July 11.
She also denied the circulating rumors that her family shelled out a big money for her own 'publicity machinery' especially at times when she'd get nominated for eviction during the season. "Walang ini-spend ang family ko for publicity." She's aware though that being a member of Sanggunian Ng Kabataan and the cosplay community might have lobbied for her in social networking sites. "Before entering PBB, hindi naman po sa pagmamayabang, may name na ako sa cosplay community kasi nagko-compete ako nationwide, so may supporters na talaga ako. So yun po, baka po tinulungan nila ako and very thankful ako sa kanila dahil tinulungan nila ako."
As for the real score between her and fellow housemate Yves Flores, Myrtle maintained that it's better for them to stay friends than pursue a serious commitment. As it is, starting a career in show business is her priority at the moment. "Sa ngayon friends kami. Ayoko magsalita ng patapos pero for me wala akong plano ngayon magpaligaw. Wala akong planong magka-boyfriend and uunahin ko yung opportunities [na maibibigay sa akin]."
What can she say about the fact that their batch has been known for being aggressive and all they think about are fun and romance? "Yung line na 'PBB Teens?' para sa akin ok lang yun na tawagin kaming PBB teens. Pero para sa amin talaga yung relationship namin is more like brothers and sisters. And parang tuwing magkakasama kami, nagkakatuwaan lang kami."
