Richard Gomez welcomed the entry of seasoned actress Eula Valdez in primetime drama series "Walang Hanggan."
In the coming days, viewers of the hit soap opera will be treated to Eula’s character named "Black Lily.”
During the recently concluded Yahoo! OMG Awards, Richard told Sun.Star that Eula will bring new twists to the program.
He is excited to work again with Eula, one of his co-actors in the remake of Korean series “All About Eve” in 2009.
"I believe Eula is a good addition to 'Walang Hanggan.' We are very happy that the cast did well as far as acting is concerned and mas kaabang-abang yung mga magiging eksena,” he said.
Richard also thanked the fans for their support to the show, which is currently ruling the evening block in nationwide ratings.
"It feels good that we are number one and that they appreciate what we are doing. We are happy that people watch it and they could expect that we would work extra hard to bring them good acting and good story,” he said.
Fresh from his Paris trip, the actor said he took the brief vacation to spend time with wife Leyte Representative Lucy Torres and daughter Julianna.
"We needed that break talaga. Lucy is busy with her work in Congress and I'm also busy with my television project so that one week of break is good enough for us," he said.
Amazed by the sceneries in the “City of Love,” Richard said everything about the European metropolis is beautiful.
“Walang corner na hindi maganda. Inikot talaga namin siya,” he said.
For her part, Lucy shared they took hundreds of photos of the French capital, did a lot of walking and visited the must-see places.
"No matter how busy we are, we always have time with each other. We always tell each other na aanhin naman namin ang lahat kung wala kaming pamilya. Richard is not just my husband, my friend, but we truly enjoy each other’s company," she said.
Lucy, a self-confessed Dawn-Richard fan, also shared her happiness on the success of "Walang Hanggan."
"I'm very happy for 'Walang Hanggan.' It is a beautiful soap opera, the acting is superb and may chemistry talaga sila ni Dawn (Zulueta)," she said.
When asked if she gets jealous with Richard working again with his ex-girlfriend, Lucy replied: "Walang selos selos kasi I've always been a Dawn-Richard fan. I've seen all their movies and I'm happy na they are working again together."
