Actress Sarah Lahbati could only laugh shyly when asked to clarify rumors about her getting cozy with “Makapiling Kang Muli” co-star Richard Gutierrez.
“Walang ganyan... work muna ngayon,” she told “Showbiz Central” in a taped interview aired July 1.
Citing sources close to both Kapuso stars, “SC” reported that the two are “nagkakamabutihan na,” with Richard purportedly even taking the time to fetch from and bring Sarah home.
To this, the actress explained, “May times kasi, like sa taping once in Calatagan, medyo dinumog ‘yung tent nila Ate Jen. I had to wait saglit lang naman and then sabi nila sabay na kami kina Chard kasi malaki ‘yung van.”
In any case, Sarah admitted that she now knows her onscreen partner better than before they got to work together.
“Ang alam ko lang [noon] is that mabait [and] palabati [siya]. Pero ngayon [na]kilala ko, he’s such a gentleman. ‘Yun ‘yung isang bagay na talagang kinakahangaan ko sa kanya… saka ‘yung pagiging caring sa co-actors niya.
“Talagang focused sa ginagawa namin but at the same time nag-eenjoy kami sa ginagawa namin,” she shared.
In a separate interview aired in the same segment, Richard likewise only has good words for her.
“She’s very talented, she’s very passionate about her craft, and mararamdaman mo talaga na gusto niya mag-improve. And she’s very fun to be with. And [she’s] beautiful,” he said.
He then appealed, “Dapat ‘wag muna bigyan ng kulay.”
“Siyempre kami ni Sarah we’re just having fun, and ngayon nagtatrabaho kami together and talagang nagiging close kami so… d’un muna. ‘Yun muna.”
