Sarah Geronimo isang magaling na total performer

Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo proved she is not just a singer but a total performer who's not afraid to show off her many talents at her birthday concert last Saturday.

Geronimo’s supporters got a chance to see their idol perform live once again at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Saturday with "Sarah 24/SG."

Geronimo opened her concert with a bang as she took on a mash-up of Beyonce's “Sweet Dreams” and The Eurythmics' “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These).”

It was a dramatic entrance since Geronimo slowed down the Beyonce song, and then executed complicated dance moves while singing the '80s classic.

Donning ornate creations by Dubai-based Filipino fashion designer Furne One, Geronimo got the crowd on its feet many times as she exuded a different level of energy throughout the concert.

Geronimo’s two-hour concert included guest performances from several artists including Bamboo, Sam Concepcion, Jon Santos and OPM icon Basil Valdez.

Geronimo and Valdez performed a duet on the song "Hanggang Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan," the theme of ABS-CBN's hit series "Walang Hanggan."

"It's an honor to share same stage with you. Hindi ko alam na mangyayri ito sa career ko," Geronimo told Valdez.

She also performed Goo Goo Dolls’ "Iris" with Bamboo and her own hit "Forever's Not Enough" with the vocal group The CompanY.

While she had several notable guests, there was no doubt that Geronimo is the star of the show and her magical stage presence kept the audience transfixed as she covered various musical genres.

Proving her versatility, Geronimo sang several OPM hits including "Wish", "Sana","Anak," Lumingon Ka Lang."

The crowd also danced with her as she covered songs from the '90s including "Wannabe” (Spice Girls),  "MMMBop” (Hanson) and “Overprotected” (Britney Spears).

The repertoire also included current pop songs like "Where Have You Been” (Rihanna), "Call Me Maybe" (Carly Rae Jepsen) and "The Scientist" (Coldplay).

Of course, a Sarah Geronimo show can't be complete without showing off her soaring, powerful voice. Geronimo did just that with "Rolling In The Deep” (Adele), "And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going” (from the musical "Dreamgirls"), and "I Surrender" (Celine Dion).

But the show’s highlight was when Geronimo sang "It Might Be You" then acknowledged actor Gerald Anderson, who is currently romantically being linked to her.

Geronimo also did a duet with her father Delfin on the touching ballad "I Will Be Here."

Closing the show on a happy note, Geronimo enagaged the audience when she sang Nicki Minaj’s hits like “Starships” and “Super Bass.”

Because tickets to the concert were quickly sold out, Geronimo announced a second show for "Sarah 24/SG" on July 21, also at the Araneta Coliseum.
