Xian Lim has heard about the alleged "death threats" against him but denies having first-hand knowledge of the matter.
“Wala naman akong natatanggap sa emails o contact numbers ko. Pero ang mga taong nakapaligid sa akin, sinasabi sa akin na meron daw,” said he in a recent interview with Balita.
According to talks, the supposed threats come courtesy of fans of Kim Chiu, who are supposedly seething that their idol is being "used" by Lim to further his career.
Lim gained notice when he was paired with the very popular Chiu in the hit series "My Binondo Girl."
The 22-year-old vehemently denied that he is riding on the coattails of the Primetime Princess, saying, “’Di ko naman mapipilit ang ibang tao na maniwala. Basta ang mentality ko, andito ako para magpasaya, gusto ko lang magpasaya ng mga tao.”
He also added, "Siguro ‘di lang nila ako kilala pa masyado.”
Lim clarified that he and Chiu are simply "friends."
He also insisted, “Okay kami. Lagi ko namang sinasabi na okay kami ‘pag magkasama kami. Masaya naman po kami. Magkaibigan po kami. Masaya ako na ‘pag me problema ako meron akong nakakausap na komportable akong sabihin ang mga gusto kong sabihin.”
As for his birthday wish, Lim said, "Sana makilala pa nila (fans) ako, sana mas maintindihan pa nila ako.”
Lim intimated to the press that he plans to have a party on his birthday and that he hopes for Chiu to be there.
But according to Lim, he is not sure if Chiu's schedule would permit an appearance there as she is currently busy filming scenes for the upcoming series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak."
Meanwhile, in a separate report on Journal Online, Lim clarified his stance on rumors that he "snubbed" Vice Ganda at a birthday bash of ABS-CBN executive Biboy Arboleda.
"Ay, mabilis lang po ako du’n, dumaan lang ako sa party ni Mother Bibs. Kasi meron po akong flight to Singapore the next few hours. Hindi ko naman nakita si Vice, wala siya doon. Kasi maaga ako do’n, sobrang aga ko do’n, kasama ko si Maja (Salvador) sa table, mabilis lang po talaga ako do’n. Wala pa si Vice no’n. ’Yun, i-clear ko lang, wala pa si Vice no’n, hindi ko siya nakita,” he explained.
