Andi Eigenmann is Derek Ramsay other woman in new film

Young actress Andi Eigenmann plays third wheel to the characters of actress Anne Curtis and actor Derek Ramsay in an upcoming film.

"[It's titled] 'Nothing Compares to You,' my very first [leading role in a] film. I'm so excited. Ako basically 'yung other woman," she said during the filming for the big screen project on Thursday.

"Kinakabahan ako syempre because it's Derek Ramsay and Anne Curtis, and I'm very honored to work with them, to do a movie with them," Eigenmann added.

Directed by Nuel Naval, "Nothing Compares to You" will see Eigenmann's character come between the couple portrayed by Ramsay and Curtis. Her on-screen affair with the hunk actor, the "Agua Bendita" star shared, is motivated by her character's personal struggles as a young adult.

"'Yung issue is young adult going through life facing certain problems like sa family, certain issues, tapos naghahanap ng comfort in an older guy," Eigenmann said of her character, which was initially given to actress-host KC Concepcion.

First team-up

Ramsay, who portrays "the older guy," recalled knowing of Eigenmann before she entered show business. But for his first team-up with the young actress, Ramsay said they need to become better acquainted in preparation for their "sensual" scenes.

"I remember kasi Andi, she was playing frisbee as a little girl, chubby and with freckles, and now she's a grown woman, magaling pa umarte," he said.

"They were talking na kailangan daw ata namin mag-workshop, for sensuality, sabi ko hindi na ata kailangan," Ramsay said in jest, adding, "Mamaya mag-uusap kami ni Andi, get to know each other and then diretso na sa trabaho."

'Grey' characters

Although she portrays Ramsay's "other woman," Eigenmann said this does not necessarily mean she plays "kontrabida" to Curtis' character.

"Actually dito naman po sa film, walang good, walang bad, every character is grey. Feeling ko mas magugustuhan ito ng mga tao, because it's very real. They could easily associate themselves with each and every character," Eigenmann said.

"Depending on what they're going through at the moment, walang iisipin na bida, na kontrabida. It's not about that. It's about us reliving real life, and what happens to certain people na nagmamahal," she added.
