JM de Guzman hints at going through a family problem

In an exclusive interview with Hot Pinoy Showbiz, JM de Guzman revealed that he’s motivated to work harder after his impressive portrayals in his 2012 Cinemalaya entry Intoy Syokoy Sa Kalye Marino and a recent Maalaala Mo Kaya episode. Gusto ko mag-rent-to-own ng condo for my mom.

Apparently, this decision has something to do with a family problem that he refused to disclose at this point.

JM said that it’s his first time to live on his own, but he’s determined to handle more responsibilities, which includes taking care of his mom’s needs as well. Kaya ko ‘to.

Incidentally, Intoy Syokoy Ng Kalye Marino, an adaptation of the Palanca-award-winning short fiction of Eros Atalia, tells the story of a man who survived a traumatic childhood, complicated love affair and other harsh realities in life. Coupled with his own real-life struggles, JM has learned to appreciate his craft all the more. I gave my best for that role. Kaya sobrang thankful ako kina Mr. Boy Abunda at Mr. Boy So (producers of the film) kasi na-realize ko through this film na it’s not about what you know, but how much you love what you do. It will just come out in the process.”
