Pokwang Isang Versatile Na Aktres

Pokwang expressed her gratitude to all who watched The Healing, now a certified blockbuster hit, where she is one of the co-stars of Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos. The film already reached the P80 million mark as of July 31, Tuesday.

The comedienne declared that even after doing the movie, she will continue her friendship with the Star for All Seasons. Agad-agad,” she related.

Hot Pinoy Showbiz then asked Pokwang that it seems that roles given to her lately are leaning towards the serious genre. Last year, she made a dramatic movie A Mother’s Story, and apart from her current horror movie, Pokwang portrays the loving mother of the lead character in the ongoing teleserye Aryana.

Apart from Aryana and the sitcom Toda Max, the comedienne shared that she is now doing a movie with Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo, whom she has worked with in the previous movie, Pak, Pak, My Dr. Kwak.

With her career at its peak, Pokwang was then asked if she does not intend to give time to her love-life, like what is happening now to fellow comedienne AiAi delas Alas, who is reported to be in a relationship with a businessman. “Okay lang (kahit wala muna). Ganun talaga. Kita mo si Miss A (Ai Ai) hindi niya hinanap ‘yon pero bigay ni God, so ganun lang.” Having been linked to a foreigner before, Pokwang explained that it does not matter if her future boyfriend will be a Filipino or not. “Kahit na ano basta may respeto.”

She added that she is also not afraid of falling in love again since she has gone through so much before. “Marami na akong natutunan sa buhay. ‘Yun na lang ang dala-dala ko araw-araw.”
