Actor Gerald Anderson revealed it was his own decision to go solo in the recently concluded Star Magic Ball.
Speaking to ABS-CBN News two days after the star-studded event, Anderson said he did not actually mind that he attended the event without a date because it was an occasion for the entire Star Magic family.
“Okay naman 'yung ball, 20th anniversary namin kaya we all had fun, lahat ng Kapamilya sa Star Magic. Wala akong date. Masaya nga eh. It’s my second time, second ball ko na dateless. I had a great night,” he said.
Prodded if he initially thought of inviting someone to go with him to the ball, Anderson said: “Wala rin akong tinanong kasi sinadya ko rin to go solo. I decided to go solo because it’s a night of celebration for the Star Magic family.”
Even without a date, Anderson was recognized as the “Hot Papa of the Night” during the 6th Star Magic Ball.
Meanwhile, Anderson appealed to the public to respect his and Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo’s decision to remain friends.
“Sana respetuhin niyo yung decision namin na mananatili kaming magkaibigan,” he said.
Anderson said he’d rather focus on his work right now since he has a lot of upcoming projects.
“Right now sa stage ng buhay ko, I’m just trying to move forward with my life and excited ako sa mga new projects na gagawin ko,” he said.
