Jennylyn Mercado has admitted that her packed schedule prevents her from seeing boyfriend Luis Manzano as much as she would want to.
"Kailangan talaga, 'pag gusto mo, gagawa ka ng time. Kaya kahit na busy, meron at merong araw na sana magkikita kami. Pero wala talaga sa ngayon. Parang oras lang meron ako sa loob ng isang linggo na wala ako masyadong maibigay," the actress elaborated in an interview with PEP posted on Sept. 11.
With four regular shows under her belt - namely the daily afternoon soap "Hindi Ka Na Nag-Iisa," Sunday noontime show "Party Pilipinas," reality talent search "Protégé," and talk show "H.O.T. TV" - it can be said that Mercado is among the busiest talents in the Kapuso roster today.
However, she insists that Manzano understands the situation. With the number of shows and products endorsements that she has, Jennylyn even gleefully quipped, "Lucky nga siya!" referring to the actor-host's nickname.
More, the PEP article reported that Manzano has convinced Mercado to try participating in triathlon events in order to "trim down" the weight that she gained from practicing jiu jitsu.
Speaking of triathlon, Mercado remains mum on the unfortunate incident in which she lost the Php 300,000 she shelled out for a trip with her family and Manzano to Cebu last month, where she was set to join the Ironman 70.3 Philippine Triathlon Race. Recall that she entrusted all the bookings for plane tickets and luxury hotel accommodations to a best friend, only to find out about the loss on the day of the scheduled trip.
