Julia Montes revealed to reporters at the premiere of her latest project, Star Cinema’s The Reunion, held last August 14, 2012 at SM Megamall, that people will be seeing a different side of her in the movie. That is because she will be taking on characters! According to the young actress she enjoyed doing it. “Na-enjoy ko kasi ibang-iba talaga siya. Ginawa akong manang, nginarag ang itsura ko, napilay ako, so ibang-iba sa mga nagawa kong character,” she revealed. Another reason why she had a grand time doing the movie is because she can definitely relate to her character named Ligaya. Why? Because Julia, just like Ligaya, is willing to do anything for her family and friends. The young actress also admitted that she is feeling a bit nervous about the movie’s outcome. “Pero ang ganda lang din kasi nu’ng movie, ang light,” she defended. “Alam ko tayong lahat gusto lang talaga natin ng light sa buhay and dito, hindi lang lightness, makaka-relate ka pa. Panatag ako kasi lahat ng tao makaka-relate.”
One of the highlights of The Reunion’s press conference last July 31 was when Julia’s co-star in the movie, Enchong Dee, said he is willing to wait ‘till Julia turns 18 next year before courting her. Naturally, Julia was asked to give her reaction regarding Enchong’s romantic advances “Di ko pa alam. Let’s see in the future after my birthday,” she said. “Basta ako focused ako sa work and sa family ko.”
