Now that she is part of the cast of the hit Primetime Bida series Kahit Puso’y Masugatan, Pinoy Big Brother Teens Big Winner Myrtle Sarrosa admitted she was excited to get the chance to work with veteran stars like Gabby Concepcion, Barbara Perez, and Malou De Guzman. “Nung first taping day ko talaga kinakabahan ako and yung first scene ko pa was with Ms. Malou and Ms. Barbara kaya naalala ko nanginginig ako tapos my cheeks were shaking tapos my lips were shivering pa. Pero sabi nila sa akin, ‘Chill ka lang,’ tapos tinuruan ako ni Ms. Malou ng ways on how to relax yung nerves sa face which is to inhale then mag-blow slowly. They were very supportive, lahat sila. Kahit veteran stars na sila, tinutulungan pa rin nila kami na mga new pa lang. So nakaka-inspire sila to improve,” she shared.
Myrtle said she is learning a lot from her first acting project. “Enjoy ako and since newbie pa lang ako, nag-i-improve pa ako and I’m really glad na yung mga directors and staff are very kind sa akin. So thankful talaga ako to ABS-CBN,” she said.
The drama series also includes Myrtle’s former PBB housemates and rumored real-life suitors Kit Thompson and Yves Flores. Myrtle admitted this is an advantage for her because she gets to see familiar faces on the set. “It helps kasi we don’t need to fake anything kasi parang kaming tatlo, we’re very comfortable with each other na even if there’s no effort, we just click kasi ang tagal na naming magkasama so this comes naturally. We just click naturally. So it’s parang hindi na masyado hard for us,” she explained.
When asked whether they are still courting her right now, Myrtle said she just wants all of them to be the best of friends at the moment. “Wala pa akong plano mag-boyfriend (laughs). Kasi I guess talagang mas fino-focus ko talaga yung career,” she said. She also shared that her planned bowling night with Aryana star Paul Salas also did not push through for reasons she did not want to share. “Hindi na, pero basta (laughs),” she said.
The famous cosplayer recently attended her first Star Magic Ball without a date, because she had turned down offers to be escorted down the red carpet. Myrtle said she is looking forward to her new project as the newest host for the cable channel Hero TV. “I watch a lot of anime. Ngayon I’m watching an anime called Maid Sama! and it’s addicting! Sobrang lucky ko to host for Hero TV,” she said.
