Actress Angelica Panganiban has finally reacted to John Lloyd Cruz's admission that they are officially a couple.
In a press conference, Panganiban opened up about her true feelings for the actor.
"Iba. Pwede pala yon. Pwede pala. May dalawang tao pa lang magkakasundo at kaya niyong suportahan ang isa't isa. Yung ganoon ka-simple. Walang hassle, walang problema," she told reporters during a press conference for the 4th anniversary of "Banana Split."
Yung makikinig talaga."
Rumors about a possible brewing romance between the two started earlier this year after they shot scenes for the upcoming Star Magic movie "24/7 in Love." This was after a much publicized split between Cruz and former beau Shaina Magdayao and Panganiban split up with boyfriend Derek Ramsay.
Last August 12, Panganiban posted a collage photo on Instagram titled “Perfect Sunday”, showing her spending time with Cruz.
Panganiban and Cruz's first public appearance together was at the Star Magic Ball last September 1. They were seen leaving the event hand in hand.
On Tuesday, Panganiban said she and Cruz had fended off rumors about their alleged relationship earlier this year since they were not yet a couple.
Hard to open up
The actress said it was hard for her to open up about her feelings since she had just come from a relationship that was also an open book to the public.
Kung may masaya, di good for you guys.
Mas maganda yung ganoon, mas private, mas ako yon, happiness naming dalawa yon. At kung sino yung masaya na gustong makisali welcome naman lahat pero yung mga nega, hindi namin kayang i-take yon," she added.
The actress said she is also happy that she's getting along well with the actor's family, and vice versa.
"Kami magkasundo.
Not yet engaged
In the interview, Panganiban also denied reports that she is already engaged to Cruz. The rumor started after she posted a photo on Instagram, showing her wearing what looked like an engagement ring.
Asked if it was true that Cruz also bought her a luxury vehicle, Panganiban replied: "Nagwo-work ako. May pera ako. Kaya kong bumili."
Cruz is currently busy with the teleserye "A Beautiful Affair" with Bea Alonzo. Panganiban will be celebrating her birthday on "Banana Split", which will be aired this Saturday.
"Banana Split" airs every Saturday on ABS-CBN after "Toda Max."
