host KC Concepcion on Thursday reacted to the recent Twitter outburst of her mother, Sharon Cuneta, saying that she understands where she is coming from.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Concepcion believes Cuneta was just being a mother who will do everything to protect her child.
"It's something that I understand because unang-una sa lahat, medyo umo-overboard and bashers kahit sa akin in the past. But being a mother, ang Mommy mas nasasaktan para sa isang anak," she said.
"Nararamdaman niya siguro 'yung mga bagay na hindi ko nasasabi or hindi ko na kailangang sabihin siguro. Ganoon 'yung nararamdaman niya kaya ganoon siya makapag-react," she added.
Early this month, Cuneta once again threatened her Twitter "bashers," whom she suspects are fans of Concepcion's ex-boyfriend, Piolo Pascual. She told one of them: "Don't push me."
In one "tweet," Cuneta even addressed Pascual directly, saying: “punong-punong puno na ako!!!!! Akala nila basta lang namin papalampasin to? …Sorry pasensyahan na lang. At pag nagsalita kami, PIOLO, DAHIL SA FANS MO!”
Concepcion, who hosted the recently concluded first season of the singing competition "The X Factor Philippines," said she would rather concentrate on her showbiz career instead of responding to her critics.
The actress-host just arrived from Europe where she took a two-week break, and is now gearing up for the series "Against All Odds" with Judy Ann Santos.
