Kim Chiu is happy that she and former reel and rumored real life partner Gerald Anderson are now able to have a ''fresh start'' after all the drama that surrounded their relationship years ago.
In a taped interview aired on ''The Buzz,'' the actress shared, ''Parang nawala na lahat ng kung ano man ang mga pasakit noon. After two years, nawala na 'yung mga hinanakit namin sa isa't isa, or kung ano man nangyari. Basta ngayon, sobrang gaan, sobrang masaya, tawanan kami ng tawanan sa mga jokes na binabato namin sa isa't isa,'' said she.
Recall that Chiu and Anderson's relationship turned cold in 2010, after they were rumored to have broken up despite the real score between them not being put on record. Allegedly, the Kapamilya actor couple was said to have separated because of Bea Alonzo, who was then purported to be in a romantic relationship with Anderson.
Talk intensified when - in October that year during the promotions for their last film together, ''Til My Heartaches End'' - Anderson broke down while admitting that he and Chiu had a ''special relationship,'' and that he had given her too much ''problems and heartaches pero tinanggap niya pa din ako.''
In any case, Chiu seems to consider their tumultuous past completely over.
''Yes, super friends kami. And parang 'pag nagku-kwentuhan kami, pinag-ku-kwentuhan namin 'yung nangyari noon. 'Yung mga bagay na gano'n. Tawanan lang kami ng tawanan,'' she said.
