Andi Eigenmann warns vs committing same mistakes I did

Young actress Andi Eigenmann wishes to be a spokesperson for single moms like her, in hopes of warning her fellow youth against committing the "same mistakes" she had committed.

"Gusto ko maging advocate for the youth. Gusto ko makahanap ng organization na magte-take sa 'kin, not just for single moms specifically, para hindi nila ma-make 'yung same mistakes that I did," Eigenmann told reporters on Thursday.

At 22 years old, Eigenmann is a mother to one daughter, Adrianna Gabrielle.

Acknowledging that she is not married to her baby's father, who she had identified to be actor Albie CasiƱo, Eigenmann said her situation may not be "of good moral," especially in the Philippines.

"Naiintindihan ko naman po na in our country, not everyone would readily accept my situation, because techinically it's not of good moral to get pregnant out of wedlock," she said.

Speaking for women

Eigenmann, who is currently filming for a big screen project titled "Nothing Compares to You," said that to the end of informing others against her "mistake," she is willing to become a spokesperson for other women who are raising their children as a single parent.

"I'm very, very willing. 'Yun nga talaga 'yung gusto ko eh -- na merong tatanggap sa 'kin. Feeling ko since I'm a celebrity, pwede akong maging isang voice para sa mga tao na ganoon," she said.

"[Gusto ko mabigyan ng boses] 'yung mga babae na nakaranas ng similar na naranasan ko sa buhay. Hindi lang po na I raised my child alone, pero 'yung mga sakit na nadaanan ko sa buhay ko, na sana mabigyan ng justice," she added.

At the height of the controversy involving her pregnancy, reports surfaced that Eigenmann had endured violence from her former boyfriend.

Almost a year since giving birth -- her daughter, who she endearingly calls Ellie, is turning 1 in November -- Eigenmann said she intends to celebrate with the people who have supported her since she became a mother.

"I'm going to invite everyone that I know [to Ellie's party], especially 'yung nandyan para sa 'kin while I was pregnant with her. [Invited] lahat nung mga nagmamahal sa aming dalawa," she said.
