Unlike her other co-hosts on the now defunct noontime variety show Happy Yipee Yehey, Toni Gonzaga is still enjoying a steady stream of projects which allow her to be seen on local television every day of the week. The 28-year-old host clarified, however, that there is no favoritism involved with regards to her work in the Kapamilya station.
“Wala namang special treatment sa akin. Ako? Nakupo, wala.
The talented singer-actress admitted she misses her co-hosts in HYY. Alam naman natin na may katapusan din naman ang lahat so yun nagkataon na natapos na yung HYY and actually more than being bitter or sour about it, I’m more than grateful to ABS-CBN for giving me the opportunity na makapag-host ng programang tulad ng HYY,” she said.
Having the distinction of being one of the few stars whose face is seen on local television every single day of the week, the 28-year-old host said she is not afraid of being overexposed.
Apart from her duties for Pinoy Big Brother and The Buzz, Toni will now also be seen every Saturday this March in the first month-long special of Wansapanataym. Toni said she is enjoying her work but knows this is also seasonal. Ngayon lang nagka-sabay sabay,” she added.
Toni admitted she is looking forward to playing different roles each week in Wansapanataym. “Tuwang-tuwa ako nung malaman kong mag-wa-Wansapanataym ako, sabi ko wow this is to justify my AnakTV awards. So in our own way we can teach them how to live the right way so dito sa Wansapanataym mapupulutan talaga nila ng values,” she said.
