Young actress Kim Chiu stunned audiences in a sexy red dress during Wednesday night's Metrowear fashion show, where she strutted down the runway with other ABS-CBN stars.
Chiu wore a red floor-length sheer corset number designed by Francis Libiran, whose creations have been donned by international stars such as Tyra Banks.
The see-through fabric of the dress bared Chiu’s shoulders, cleavage, back, buttocks and legs.
The actress, who starred in defunct ABS-CBN series “My Binondo Girl,” matched the outfit with big teardrop earrings, and wore her hair in a tight bun.
Maja Salvador, on the other hand, looked sweet yet edgy in a pink short dress paired with a white studded blazer designed by Avel Bacudio.
Salvador, also a former “My Binondo Girl” star, had her hair up in a tight ponytail, with no accessories and barely-there makeup.
Other ABS-CBN stars who joined this year’s Metrowear fashion show were actors Rayver Cruz and Zanjoe Marudo, and “Pinoy Big Brother Unlimited” grand winner Slater Young.
Cruz wore a shiny cream-colored suit which he matched with gray shoes and a snakeskin clutch, while Marudo was all black with his lace and silk polo underneath his tuxedo.
Young, meanwhile, wore a simple black and white number.
This year’s Metrowear fashion show, dubbed “Metrowear Rocks the Runway,” showcased the creations of 20 local designers who were asked to reinterpret sustainable fashion.
Aside from Libiran and Bacudio, the featured designers include Randy Ortiz, Cary Santiago, Joey Samson, Dennis Lustico, JC Buendia, Louis Claparols, Ronaldo Arnaldo, Jojie Lloren, Sassa Jimenez, Kermit Tesoro, Mak Tumang, Ferdie Abuel, Eric delos Santos, Jerome Lorico, John Herrera, Veejay Floresca, Roland Alzate and Martin Bautista.
Their works highlighted three of the biggest trends this season – aquatic, retro romance and 1950s couture.
The fashion show also included performances from Filipino rock acts Rico Blanco, Kjwan, Callalily and Wolfgang.
