It all started when Alec Dungo asked Jai Agpangan to be his date during the first week of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition 4. Until they got to know each other better and Alec became vocal of his special feelings for Jai. But in spite of the kilig moments they’ve shared together, Jai obviously tried her best to resist Alec’s charming ways.
In an interview with Push.com.ph, Jai admitted that she was shocked when Alec started to give her special treatment. “I was shocked kasi parang harap-harapan. Hindi ako sanay pero pinabayaan ko lang kasi baka close feelings lang. Dapat sa labas naman dapat aabangan [kung ano talagang intention niya] hindi sa loob ng bahay kasi siyempre kami-kami lang dun. Pwede ka naman talaga madevelop na kayo kayo lang dun for the past three months.”
Alec seemed so smitten that he would just stare at her, smell her hair and tell her upfront that she makes him happy. To which Jai responded with laughter or evasiveness. Apparently, a past experience taught her to be careful when it comes to matters of the heart. “Kaya ko kontrolin yung emotions ko pagdating sa ganyan. Kasi hindi naman ako tatanga-tanga Kasi dati, hindi naman boyfriend pero crush ko lang. Naging MU (mutual understanding) kami, parang boyfriend-girlfriend pero saglit lang. So alam ko na kung anong experience nung [mahulog yung loob mo tapos mauwi sa wala] ayoko ng ulitin yun.”
But that doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t give Alec the chance to get to know her better now that their PBB stint is over. “Honestly, hindi ko inexpect na magiging closer kami sa labas. Kasi sa loob panay ang iwas ko at change topic. Pero ngayon close talaga kami super. Parang super friends. Basta mabait siya. Ok naman kaming dalawa. Friends naman kami.”
