Singer Rachelle Ann Go said she is excited to be working anew with her close friend Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo.
Since her departure from ABS-CBN's concert variety program "ASAP" in 2010, Go on Friday revealed that she is set to perform again with Geronimo, who was also part of the weekend show before she headlined her own TV musical.
Go, who will stage a major concert in September, said Geronimo will be among her guests in the upcoming show to be held at the Resorts World Newport Performing Arts Theater.
Aside from Geronimo, Go said Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez will be guesting at her concert, titled "R.A.G.: Rising Against Gravity."
"First time ko po 'tong magpo-produce ng sarili kong concert. I'm very excited dahil 'yung mga makakatrabaho ko dito 'yung mga taong mahal ko, at mga kaibigan ko talaga.
At first time ko sila makakasamang dalawa sa isang concert," Go said.
Go and Geronimo are both alumni from separate singing contests hosted by Velasquez. In 2003, Geronimo won first place in "Star for a Night," while Go in 2004 emerged champion in "Search for a Star."
'Personal' concert
Eight years since her win in the singing competition, Go said she has been through a number of challenges and triumphs in her career and personal life; these, she said, will be reflected in "R.A.G."
Directed by Rico Gutierrez, "R.A.G.: Rising Against Gravity" is set for a September 19 staging at the Resorts World Newport Performing Arts Theater.
