"Pinoy Big Brother" champ Slater Young is set to become a full-time actor.
More than four months since he emerged Big Winner of reality series "Pinoy Big Brother: Unlimited, Young is now set to join the TV reunion of actor John Lloyd Cruz and actress Bea Alonzo.
Young will be among the cast of ABS-CBN's upcoming drama series, "A Beautiful Affair," which is expected for a primetime telecast later this year.
The Cebuano's involvement in the John Lloyd-Bea-starrer comes as his first regular acting role. Young had earlier appeared in a guest role in defunct series "E-Boy," as well as in an episode of drama anthology "Maalaala Mo Kaya."
Of the latest developments in his career, Young told entertainment magazine Inside Showbiz: "[It hasn't sunk in yet,] getting there, not yet, but getting there. Pero baka hanggang dito na lang talaga siya, you can't fully adjust to it."
Young isn't the first "PBB" alumnus to have taken on acting as a career after the stint in the country's most famous house.
Among the former "PBB" housemates who are now full-time actors and TV personalities are Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Sam Milby and Robi Domingo.
