The Kapamilya actor revealed in recent interview that he is primed to dump the image that has made him one of the more bankable actors of his generation.
"I think [I'm ready for a change]," Dee told abscbnnews.com.
In earlier interviews, Dee intimated that it would be a big waste if he wouldn't allow himself the chance to try taking on "mature" and "daring" roles at this point.
"Kasi hanggang kailan lang ba tayo magiging bata 'di ba? Hanggang kailan ba tayo puwede maghubad ng ganito? Sayang naman," he shared.
Dee also admitted to already thinking about ideas on how to make the transition but apparently his managers want to take it one step at a time.
"May naisip nga ako na gusto kong i-suggest sa kanila na idea na kung papano ako mag-ve-venture into sexy roles kaya lang bibigyan pa [daw] nila ako ng tamang pagkakataon para pumasok dun," he said.
As part of the transformation, the 23-year-old actor participated in the 25th anniversary fashion show of local clothing line Thursday in what he deemed is his "sexiest" outing yet.
"It's a slow unfolding of the new me," Dee explained.
The multi-awarded swimmer exerted extra effort to surprise audiences at the event by vaulting from the ceiling of the Mall Of Asia Arena while wearing nothing but black underwear.
According to Dee, he worked hard in making the stunt appear as effortless as possible. More, he revealed that he almost starved himself to death just to make sure he looked trim and fit enough for the appearance.
"[I was] pressured, hungry and happy. [I had] one week [preparation], 'yung talagang grabe one week. Gusto ko kumain ng buffet after," he related.
