Vhong Navarro sinabing masaya ka work si angel Locsin

Vhong Navarro said he is content being a mainstay of Toda Max and is proud of the fact that the late King of Comedy Dolphy approved of what they’ve done to revive sitcoms on the Kapamilya network. “Hindi ko nga siya nakausap e. Pero nadalaw ko siya sa hospital noon. Kasi yung writer namin, same writer ng Home Along Da Riles at John en Shirley. Nakakatuwa kasi may communication sila at binabalita niya sa amin kung anong feedback ni Tito Dolphy noon. At least kahit papaano nakapanood si Tito Dolphy ng Toda Max noong nabubuhay pa siya,” he said in an interview with Push.com.ph.

Angel Locsin plays his love interest in the said show and Vhong is glad that she enjoys doing comedy with him and Robin Padilla. “Ang sarap kasi lumalabas pagiging kenkoy ni Angel sa set. Kasi ang alam natin kay Angel dramatic actress. So at least sa Toda Max napapakita niya yung different side niya.” Angel is also busy shooting the movie, One More Try, together with Angelica Panganiban, Zanjoe Marudo, and Dingdong Dantes.

He added that Angel is very easy to work with and she’s willing to learn from her co-actors. “Oo, ang galing niya. Dati nahihiya pa siya. Ngayon may suggestions na rin siya. Open siya e. Alam niya na hindi niya forte ang comedy. So kapag may suggestions kami nila Robin at nila direk, game siya. Gusto ko yung ganon. Enjoy lang kami sa set kasi kahit trabaho very light lang yung acting tapos maaga pa kami natatapos.”

Asked if he has plans to try out a new genre in acting, Vhong simply replied, “Nagiisip din ako na gumawa ng iba. Pero ang nakakaalam niyan manager ko. So far nagustuhan naman ako sa comedy sa Toda Max. Tapos may hosting rin sa Showtime so iba naman yun.”
