Enchong Dee maintained that he and co-star Maja Salvador don’t need to be romantically linked for their tandem to work in their upcoming teleserye Ina, Kapatid, Anak. All he could promise viewers was that they would do justice to their characters Ethan and Margaux respectively. “Hindi naman kailangan lagyan ng kulay. Mas mae-explore yung ganong team-up na hindi mo kailangan sabihin sa tao na, ‘Uy meron kaming something.’ Basta ibibigay namin sa inyo yung best namin. Bahala na ang tao kung tatanggapin nila,” he said during their grand press con last October 3.
When asked if there’s a chance for him to fall for Maja, Enchong was honest enough to say that no one can really say what the future holds for them. He’s just happy because they work well together and it makes their jobs easier. “Yung ganiyang klaseng tanong hindi mo masasagot at this moment e. To which he wisely replied, “Sabi ko nga yung trabaho namin drama na e. Hindi mo na kailangan dagdagan ng drama. I-enjoy mo lang. Ini-enjoy ko buhay ko, ganon din siya. Tsaka paminsan naisip ko, ‘Ba’t kaya ang tagal dumating ng isang bagay?’ Ngayon dumating na dito sa buhay ko. Perfect timing kasi alam mo na kapag napaaga or napa-late baka hindi ganon kaganda ang kinalabasan. Nandito kami sa oras at pagkakataon na buti na lang eto kami ngayon.”

He said he wants to keep his personal life low key as much as possible. When he was prodded about the state of his heart right now, he simply replied, “I am really secured of whatever I have right now.”
