Actor Gerald Anderson has belied whispers that romance has been brewing between him and Shaina Magdayao.
Although he admittedly considers Magdayao to be beautiful, Anderson, via a taped interview aired on "The Buzz" on Sunday, vehemently maintained that he has not sought Rayver Cruz's "go signal" to date her.
Recall that Cruz, prior to being with his current girlfriend Cristine Reyes and wooing Sarah Geronimo, was romantically linked to Magdayao back in 2007.
The Filipino-American actor, though, didn't deny being friends with the recently single Magdayao.
"Trabaho at sarili muna. 'Yun muna ang priority ko," said he.
Raring to set the record straight, Magdayao, for her part, via a previous Bulletin Entertainment report, has already cleared Anderson, as well as singer Rico Blanco and kapamilya hunk actor Diether Ocampo's names as her rumored suitors.
But it seems that Magdayao's elder sister, Vina Morales, sees nothing wrong should the rumors turn out to be true.
Morales noted, via a separate "Buzz" interview, that the two going out on a date won't be an issue since "he's single, she's single, so bakit hindi? If they like each other, why not?"
The dance diva likewise weighed in on the numerous men being linked to her 22-year-old sister ever since she parted ways with John Lloyd Cruz last May.
"Normal lang kasi single naman siya eh. Pero nothing serious. I don't think she is ready for a serious commitment," she said.
