After Kim Chiu's reunion project with former boyfriend Gerald Anderson, the prized Kapamilya actress will next take to the big screen her successful team-up with another ABS-CBN actor, Xian Lim.
Currently starring as a "love team" in the Primetime Bida series "Ina, Kapatid, Anak," Chiu and Lim are set to headline a new movie, according to the actor.
"Right now we have 'Ina, Kapatid, Anak' -- a very successful show -- and we have a movie coming up also, so I'm really excited for that," Lim told ABS-CBN News at the sidelines of an accessories fashion show held Thursday night, when asked what projects are in the pipeline for him and his current leading lady.
For many avid fans of his tandem with Chiu, which started in the hit series "My Binondo Girl," Lim said his new project with the actress may be reason to rejoice. But he also acknowledged that the case may not be the same for "Kimeralds" -- fans of Anderson and Chiu's tandem.
"I don't entertain so much negatives eh, pero so far naman, on my daily routine, everyone's happy, our fan groups, we're friendly," Lim said.
'Support for family'
Before Lim's big screen project with Chiu, the Kapamilya leading lady is headlining, along with other Star Magic talents, the 20th anniversary film offering of ABS-CBN's talent management arm.
In "24/7 In Love," Chiu will be paired anew with Anderson.
"Syempre I'm supporting the Star Magic family. It's a really big event, it's a really big movie for Star Magic, it's a big thing for them. I'm here to support naman my family," Lim said.
Citing the anticipation for Anderson and Chiu's big screen reunion, Lim said he himself is a fan of their "love team."
"There's really nothing I can say, but that I'm really happy for both of them. 'Yung napapanood ko before, now they're back," the actor said.
"And for all the Star Magic artists, nakakatuwa. How many in one, like 14 in one, I'm not sure, there are a lot of artists in one [movie], so 'yun palang in itself is nakakatuwa na," he added.
Aside from Chiu and Anderson, "24/7 In Love" also features the team-ups of Zanjoe Marudo and Bea Alonzo; Angelica Panganiban and John Lloyd Cruz; Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo; Zaijan Jaranilla and Xyriel Manabat, with Piolo Pascual; Diether Ocampo and Maja Salvador; and Pokwang and Sam Milby.
Directed by John D. Lazatin, Mae Czarina Cruz, Frasco Santos Mortiz and Dado Lumibao, the Star Cinema film will hit theaters nationwide on November 21.
