YOUNG actors Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla will be taking on
their first lead roles in a new romantic-comedy movie to be produced by
Star Cinema next year.
Kathryn said she and Daniel are both nervous and excited of the movie.
"Until now hindi pa nagsi-sink in sa amin. This movie kami na talaga
(yung lead) kaya medyo pressured kasi iba ito sa Princess and I. Happy
na nabigyan kami ng gaming project," she said in a CinemaNews interview.
Aside from the hit primetime series "Princess and I," the on-screen
partners are also part of the recent movie "24/7 In Love" and the
upcoming movie, "Sisterakas," an official entry to the Metro Manila Film
Festival.
Kathryn said that it is only fitting to do a romantic-comedy for
their first movie because it would cater to their teen fanbase.
"Tingin ko magandang simulan yung launching movie namin sa hindi muna
mabigat. Yung for our age lang namin. Yung growing up para hindi rin
mamadali," she said.
The young actress said she prefers to be paired with her special
friend, Daniel, because they already know how to work with each other
and they have a good working relationship.
"Medyo matagal na din kaming magkasama so alam ko na yung moods niya.
Timplado na namin yung isa't isa. Pero ayoko naman isarado yung sarili
ko and siya na din sa ibang love team. Decision ng management kung
nakikita nilang nagwo-work yung chemistry namin. Happy ako na pag si DJ
ang kapartner ko," she said.
When asked about the status of her friendship with the actor, Kathryn
said Daniel is not only the closest guy friend in her life, but also
her best friend on and off the camera.
