Alice Dixson, Luluha Nanaman ng Todo-Todo

STARTING Monday, the Kapatid Network will offer a new choice of afternoon drama soap via "Isang Dakot na Luha".

The new series is about a story of a mother who, in her struggle to keep her children from being taken away from her, needs to deal with unfortunate circumstances.

Alice Dixson will reunite with her "Babaeng Hampaslupa" co-star Jay Manalo as they portray Amelia and Mario, respectively. They will become an ill-fated couple who get estranged from each other and will soon lose their three children.

Having been raised in an orphanage, Dixson's character promises to be the best mother to her children and will never leave their side. But fate has a way of changing her life forever.

"I'm a woman in love here, managing her family, her husband, her life. The normal challenges we face, like infidelity, money, career choices and family," she said.

"This series will touch real life situations. It’s no longer about glamour, being mean, or me being kontrabida. It will show real life situations and choices we have usually made."

Also part of the series is Glydel Mercado, who plays the role of Veronica. She will not only take away Mario from Amelia, but will cause havoc in the couple's three children.

Playing the role of Amelia and Mario's three children are TV5 princess Danita Paner as Angela, Lianne Valentin as Almira and Junyka Santarin as the youngest child Abigail.

Completing the cast of the afternoon series are Edgar Allan Guzman, Karel Marquez, Jenny Miller, Elvis Gutierrez, and Daria Ramirez.

Directed by Eric Quizon, "Isang Dakot ng Luha" airs after "Felina" on the Kapatid Network's afternoon block.
