Say ni Melissa Ricks About Julia Montes

As part of the cast of the hit Primetime Bida series Walang Hanggan, Melissa Ricks admitted she is enjoying the challenges of playing a kontrabida role. “Natatakot ako kasi baka yung mga tao galit sa akin pero natutuwa ako kasi sa Twitter account ko maraming nagre-react ng magaganda naman. Na nakakinis daw ako, I’m so maldita ganyan, ganyan pero they also say they like it. Kagat naman nila. As long as hindi naman ako ganun sa totoong buhay, okay lang yun. It’s a role and I’m doing my job and I enjoy doing this role,” she shared during the house blessing and birthday party of Julia Montes held last March 20 in Antipolo.

The 22-year-old actress admitted she has become fond of Julia ever since they first met. “Nung unang meet ko pa lang sa kanya, sobrang gaan ng loob ko sa kanya. She’s like a little sister to me and gustong-gusto ko siya kasi totoo siyang tao and sana kahit tapos na yung Walang Hanggan ay maging magkaibigan pa rin kami. Naging friend ko lang siya sa Walang Hanggan. I’ve worked with her one time sa MMK pero aside from that wala na. Tapos parang ang gaan gaan ng loob ko sa kanya. I made an effort na sabi ko gusto ko talaga pumunta para maging masaya siya. Bukod sa house blessing niya it’s also her birthday,” she said.

Despite her busy schedule, Melissa admitted she really took time out to attend Julia’s house blessing because she wanted to show support for the teen actress. “Sobrang happy ako for Julia, nakikita niya kung saan napunta lahat ng hard work niya at ng puyat niya. So since she was a little girl pa, dream na niya na magpatayo siya ng bahay para sa family niya so lahat sila magkasama-sama and she can call it her own house so I’m very happy for her na she’s very blessed and at a young age nakapundar na siya ng bahay para sa sarili niya. I’m sure maraming-marami pang darating sa kanya kasi she’s such a nice person and I just wish her all the best, continuous happiness para sa kanya,” she shared.

When it comes to her personal life, the pretty mestiza said she is enjoying spending time with former Pinoy Big Brother Double Up housemate Paul Jake Castillo. “Okay naman, ganun pa rin. I enjoy hanging out with him and being with him pa rin. Pag may chance, we go out kaso lately halos araw-araw kami nag-te-taping for Walang Hanggan so I really don’t have much time for anything else, matutulog ako pag puwede pero pag may konting oras na free, yun lumalabas naman kami. Kumakain or bonding time, ganyan,” she said.

Melissa also admitted the young businessman serves as a source of inspiration for her too. “He makes me happy now. Siguro inspiration yeah, maganda yung may inspiration lalo na pag mga trabaho ngayon medyo mahirap, medyo araw-araw, nakakapagod. It’s nice to have someone to talk to,” she said.  Despite their growing closeness, Melissa denied that they are already a couple. “Paano nila malalaman? Di ba kakalabas pa lang ng balita (laughs). We’re just hanging out. We’re just dating,” she clarified.
