Xian Lim, May Gustong Patunayan Bilang Aktor

Xian Lim said that he feels like he is finally getting the breaks that he has always dreamed of. “The blessings are here. Alam ko naman na dumarating ang blessings and I’m thankful. And pinagpapray ko lang sana patuloy ko pang mapasaya ang mga tao at ma-sustain [ang career ko],” said the young actor during the press conference of his latest endorsement, Globe Super Facebook by Globe. Currently, Xian can be seen in TV commercials for a number of endorsements.

He added that right now, he simply wants to enjoy the success which every celebrity hopes to have. “Ang tagal ko nang gustong marinig ‘yan. I’ve always wanted to prove something and now finally may nangyayari and sana tuloy-tuloy sa lahat ng endorsements, sa trust na ibinigay nila sa akin.”

Although he was given good projects in the past, it was only when Xian was paired with Kim Chiu in My Binondo Girl that his career took off. The multi-talented actor explained that he does not mind if it took him a while before his career got off the ground. “Ever since na nag-start ako, nung workshops pa lang, alam ko na na I’m willing to wait kasi nag-eenjoy ako sa lahat ng ginagawa ko with Star Magic, especially kapag nagbibigay sila ng workshops to the shows na binibigay nila sa akin,” he shared. “Enjoy because it’s something different all the time, so ako maski five years, mapa-10 years, I’m willing to wait. I’m enjoying naman eh, I love what I’m doing.”

Xian also gave credit to the people behind My Binondo Girl, who played a major role in his current success. He said that they have been very supportive of him, including Kim, his other co-actors and their director. “Actually, lahat ng nangyari played the part, tulong ng director, tulong ng cast, tulong ng partnership namin ni Kim.” When asked if he is bothered by some comments that he owe much of his success to his team-up with Kim, Xian replied, “Of course not. It’s normal.”

He said that he is also waiting for the time when he can finally prove that he can stand on his own as far as fame is concerned. “Dadating at darating naman po ‘yan, I am not bothered [if my success is associated with Kim).”

Xian also stressed that just because their team-up clicked, it doesn’t mean that he would really pursue Kim so that they can be a couple in real life. “Wala naman akong sinasabing, ‘Ay, kailangan mangyari ito,’ ‘di ba? Lagi ko naman sinasabi na ‘pag naramdaman ng puso, hindi ‘yan pipigilan and I know there’s a lot of time for that, and for now just enjoy each other’s company and wala pong pressure.”
