Angelica Panganiban admitted that she’s not immune to Piolo Pascual’s undeniable charms when they shot the Star Cinema movie, Every Breath U Take. She was further impressed by the fact that his good looks also go with discipline and a natural flair for acting. “Kapag nakikita mo siya, masaya lang, kumpleto na yung araw mo. Gusto ko titigan ko lang siya. Gwapo e [at] sobrang galing umarte, nakakadala. So ‘pag nand’yan siya, kailangan mo pantayan yung kaya niyang ibigay. Hindi mo alam kung anong ipapakita niya so kailangan ready ka lang. Game lang siya sa lahat,” said Angelica during the press con of Every Breath U Take last April 26.
The 25 year-old also revealed that Piolo is not only humble, but a generous co-star to boot. “[Over the years] nakita ko na mas yumaman pa siya. Pero yung yumabang? Hindi mo yun makikita sa kanya. Ikaw pa yung mahihiya umarte kasi parang mas wala siyang arte. Ang ganda ng working relationship kasi na-i-inspire namin yung isa’t isa na mas pagandahin yung trabaho. Mayaman [siya at] laging nanlilibre ng pagkain,” she cheerfully exclaimed.
Angelica further shared that Piolo has remained a gentleman all throughout the shoot. Although they were required to do a lot of intimate scenes, the actress insisted that they dealt with it in a professional manner. “Wala[ng malisya]. Siyempre mahirap isipin yun habang ginagawa [yung kissing scenes]. Hindi ko naman pwede isipin na, ‘Ay tama yung hagod na ginagawa niya!’ Hindi ko naman pwedeng isipin habang nasa eksena kami kasi medyo nakaka-off naman yun sa trabaho namin. Sobrang gentleman ni Papa P.”
Will she ever consider dating Piolo if she’s not committed with Derek Ramsay at this point in her life? “Siya po yung nangunguna sa listahan. Yes naman Papa P! May listahan pala ako, tumatarget! Ikaw ang una. Hindi pa siguro time maging kami noon (when they first worked together in the teleserye Mangarap Ka eight years ago). Baka po this time around,” she quipped.
