Angeline Quinto, Baka Magconcert sa Araneta This Year

Bigger things are happening in singer Angeline Quinto’s young career: A major concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and an upcoming movie with award winning actor Coco Martin.

According to Angeline, her performance with international and platinum recording artist Brian McKnight over the weekend was her seventh performance at the Araneta. She also stood on the same stage in 2011 for ABS-CBN’s Christmas special and Ryan Cayabyab’s Isang Libo’t, Isang Awit.

To rephrase a saying, Angeline’s always the guest performer and never the star. But, that might all change this year because talks about her major concert at the Araneta Coliseum are getting louder and louder.

If she had her way, she would like to have a birthday concert to make the career milestone more meaningful. Angeline is turning 24 years old on November 26.

In the meantime, she is simply thrilled at being able to perform at the Araneta, even to sing just a few songs.

She is also happily anxious on her forthcoming movie with Coco Martin, now with the working title You Light Up My Life, under the direction of Jerome Pobocan.

With no experience in acting, Angeline is eager to embrace the challenge of working with an awarded actor like Coco. She plays the role of a tour guide for Koreans in the film, who is always quarreling with her photographer as portrayed by Coco.

She also attributed what acting skills she now holds to workshops with Pen Medina and Malou de Guzman.

So, does the new showbiz darling have a kissing scene with Coco Martin?

Dapat una, gitna at huli.
What has she learned from her successes in showbiz?
