MANILA, Philippines - Beyond her thriving career, Angeline Quinto is bent on completing the pieces of the puzzle of her identity, wishing to finally meet her long-lost biological mother.

A certain individual claiming to be the singer and budding actress' real mother has surfaced, an addition to a list of about three women who've already done so. This individual, according to "The Buzz," is even willing to take a DNA test to prove her claim.

Angeline hasn't met any of the said women yet. She noted, though, "'Yung huli pong nagpakilala kasi parang… medyo may nararamdaman po ako sa kanya."

Despite the remarks of some of her relatives that her biological mother has already passed away, her hunch says otherwise.

At the height of Angeline's victory on the singing search "Star Power" in 2011, she revealed that her biological mother had to give her away—specifically, sell her for P10,000—when she was a baby. She didn't get even her mother's name, and her family proved evasive when it came to her questions.

In a heartfelt interview on "Showbiz Inside Report" on May 19, Angeline recalled that she was six years old when a friend blurted out to her that she was adopted (by Sylvia Quinto, her father's aunt). Sylvia, whom she fondly calls "Mama Bab," eventually told her the truth about her identity when she turned nine.

The 22-year-old diva admitted that she initially got mad at her biological mother. As she grew up she nevertheless realized that, "baka naman po may ibang dahilan kaya niya ginawa 'yon."

If given the chance to live with her real mother, Angeline said, "Hindi po ako papayag."
