After more than a year of dating exclusively, Phil Younghusband finally admitted that his "unofficial" relationship with Angel Locsin became "official" on May 27.
"We're officially together, like boyfriend and girlfriend. [We became a couple] a few weeks ago. It's May 27," the Philippine Azkals striker admitted in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
He described how it feels like to be a boyfriend to the kapamilya actress. "We're happy. We fall more and more in love with each other. Love and happiness are really the words to describe our relationship," the 24-year-old Filipino-British football star said.
It can be recalled that Phil asked Angel out on a date February of last year. Since then, the two became each other's constant date but refused to label their relationship.
Phil, however, is quick to deny wedding plans with the 27-year-old Angel. According to him, it is too early for them to settle down, especially now that they are busy with their respective careers.
"It's too early to plan that. I've always said I wanted to have a future with Angel but no plans of weddings yet. We're in love but we have to work first and things like that," Phil explained, adding that Angel "started her new movie (with Dingdong Dantes), so she's gonna be very busy, but we're very, very happy."
Though wedding bells will not be heard anytime soon, Phil assured, "I want a future with Angel and I look forward to more happiness with Angel."
