Actor Daniel Padilla proved his popularity not just as an actor, but also as a singer after his debut album reached gold-record status just two weeks after it was released.
The gold record plaque was presented to the actor on "ASAP 2012" on Sunday, who attributed the album's success to his fans.
Padilla said the gold record award means a lot to him because it inspires him to strive harder as a recording artist.
The actor also said he is hoping for a diamond record award.
Aside from the carrier single “Hinahanap-Hanap Kita,” Padilla’s album features five other tracks. These are “Pagsubok,” “Paniwalaan Mo,” “Princesa,” “Grow Old With You,” and “Ako’y Iyo Ika’y Akin Lamang,” which the actor is dedicating to his onscreen partner Kathryn Bernardo.
