Although Luis Manzano is busy with his latest acting and hosting stints, he manages to live a well-balanced life as he also takes good care of his health and spends quality time with girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado. Asked if there’s anything else he would ask for, the 29-year-old shared that he’s grateful for all the blessings that’s coming his way. But he feels that there is still room for new discoveries in his life.
“When you think you're content, there's always something that God throws at you as an added bonus or as a new target. Minsan iniisip natin okay na tayo, biglang may ipaparamdam sa ‘yo ang Diyos na anak ito naman ang gawin mo. Nandiyan sumusulpot- sulpot [and] not necessarily in showbiz. I have to diversify ika nga,” said Luis who might be referring to talks of him entering politics like his parents.
In the meantime, he happily told Push.com.ph that Jennylyn remains to be his greatest inspiration and that their relationship is going stronger everyday. “We’re very much okay. We’re still smiling. Sabi ko nga, [ang perfect description of how I feel for her is that] I go to sleep and I wake up smiling.”
Despite the number of celebrity breakups for the past few months, Luis respects the fact that destiny has a way of bringing together couples or breaking them apart. “Nagkataon lang na oras nila. Talaga namang oras nila. At the same time, pwedeng bukas magbalikan or magkaayos sila. That's part of a relationship—you get together, you break up, and sometimes you get back together.”
The fact that things are going well between him and Jennylyn doesn’t mean he’s totally confident about their relationship. “In every relationship there's fear. Kasi you’re scared na mamaya this is not it yet, mamaya you might end up hurting someone else or vice versa. But you have to try to commit those fears or grow together.”
