Now that taping has started for Ina, Kapatid, Anak, Xian Lim said he is anxious for the new show to start airing soon. In the new Primetime Bida series, Xian is once again paired with Kim Chiu after their successful tandem in My Binondo Girl. “Ang masasabi ko lang excited ako kasi naka-isang taping pa lang ako eh and mabilis lang yun. So I’m hoping na tuloy-tuloy na kagad siya,” he said.
Xian said that even though it took awhile for them to do a project again, he and Kim had constant communication with each other whether it be through text or hanging out with her family. “Mabuti naman kami, we’re good friends. We’re close, we’re comfortable. From the start of My Binondo Girl where it was hi hello to now we trust each other. Of course, siyempre naman we text din. Nakakalabas ako sometimes with her, her brothers, and with her siblings,” he shared during the Promil Preschool i-Shine Talent Camp press conference held at the ABS-CBN compound last June 19.
The Fil-Chi heartthrob said he is having the time of his life right now being busy with new acting projects and the successful release of his debut album. “It’s fun. It’s what I’ve always wanted. Yun talaga yung gusto ko and I’m happy na na-achieve ko siya. Sana tuuloy-tuloy na now na nakuha ko yung gusto ko gawin. Sana ma-sustain. And I’m really happy na madami naming supporters, marami naming tumutulong para mag-improve na mag-improve. Basically I’m enjoying [it],” he shared.
As one of the hosts of a new kiddie talent show which will feature the development of the talent of 12 Pinoy kids from all over the country, Xian said this is definitely a new kind of experience for him. “Nakakatuwa kasi I can relate kasi yung mommies and daddies nila super supportive. Eh yung mom ko ganun din so parang nakikita ko rin mommy ko sa kanila so talagang nakakatuwa naman. She never told me what to do. She was always supportive of what I wanted to do. Dito sa show makikita natin yung pag-nurture sa mga kids ages three to seven, meron silang kanya-kanyang mentors in acting, hosting, dancing, and singing and makikita talaga natin na lahat sila nag-shine during the process. Sa nakikita ko sa mga bata gusto talaga nila yung mga ginagawa nila kasi nag-e-enjoy sila eh,” he said.
Although he is comfortable being around kids, the talented actor-singer said he is not ready to have his own brood just yet. “Of course, siyempre naman someday gusto ko din magkaroon. Not soon, but someday. I always say hindi pa naman ako nagiisip magkaanak now. I’m taking things things slow, just living each day like there’s no tomorrow. I take it step by step,” he explained.
As a kid, Xian revealed he was not as extroverted as the kids on their show. The 22-year-old hunk also shared why he enjoys watching the kiddie finalists during tapings. “Nung childhood days ko hindi ako much of a performer eh. Pero naaalala ko dito yung pag naglalaro ka tapos enjoy na enjoy mo yung ginagawa mo, ito yun eh. Yung talagang hindi sila nahihiya, talagang game lang sila gawin yun. Wala pa silang iniisip na ano kayang iniisip ng ibang tao. Yung iba kasi may iniisip na ganun eh as we grow old. Pero sila, talagang they’re just having fun, laro lang sa kanila,” he said.
