MANILA, Philippines – Fans of Piolo Pascual will be relieved to know that the actor is doing well after figuring in a minor biking accident in Baguio on July 3.
Star Magic, ABS-CBN’s talent arm that manages Piolo’s career, assured via Twitter on Wednesday, “Nothing serious guys Piolo is okay he's very much fine :).”
According to celebrity blog site My C.H.O.S., which also quoted a text message from Piolo himself, the singer-actor was riding along Ambuklao Road when his bike’s break malfunctioned and he “skidded off a curb.”
Piolo was then rushed to a hospital for a check-up.
“Minor bruises lang :),” a part of his message read.
In a separate report on “Umagang Kay Ganda,” Piolo’s closest friends are grateful that the prized Kapamilya star didn’t suffer major injuries.
As proof that he’s back on his feet, Piolo posted photos of himself after the accident through his Instagram account also on July 3.
The first photo, which bore the caption “battle scars :),” showed a smiling Piolo with his bruised arm. The second, meanwhile, is a photo of him driving, his arm bandaged.
“show must go on...,” he wrote.
Piolo’s most recent series, “Dahil Sa Pag-Ibig,” had just aired its finale last week. A film project and an upcoming TV series with Angelica Panganiban keep him busy these days.
