As he turns 23 on July 12, Xian Lim said that he is very grateful for all the blessings he has been receiving since last year. The Ina, Kapatid, Anak star said it is definitely going to be a different kind of birthday for him this year. “Alam ko mas marami ng parties na mangyayari this time. There are a lot of things happening. Sobrang thankful ako for the support and it’s been a wonderful year. Siyempre mas marami ng endorsements ngayon. Mas marami ng tao akong kilala, mas marami ng parties, mas marami ng celebrations. Nakakatuwa na heto pala yun. Kasi ako lang mag-isa usually eh. Usually small lang ang party but this time its different. Kasi there’s a lot to share with everyone,” he said.
Xian admitted that he usually plans something very intimate during his natal day. If she can come then why not ‘di ba? The more the merrier,” he said during his birthday presscon held at McDonald’s ABS-CBN held last July 10.
As early as July 9, fans of the Kapamilya heartthrob surprised him with a dinner at a restaurant near ABS-CBN. “Nagsimula sa surprise birthday party. Ang nag-organize ng surprise birthday party is yung mga KimXi fans from the States. Pumunta sila dito to celebrate my birthday. Sa Cerchio restaurant sa Morato. Kasama ko dun yung family ko, handler ko, my stylist, basta nandun lahat,” he revealed.
Xian said he is waiting until his actual birthday to open the gifts he received that night. When it comes to buying gifts for himself, Xian said he is saving his money in the bank for now until he can afford his dream house. I’m not planning to buy bigger things but hindi ko pa kasi alam kung ano bibilhin ko eh. Siyempre that’s an achievement ‘di ba? And siyempre gusto ko rin yun pero in terms of kung bibilhin ngayon, wala pa eh. Wala pa akong naiisip eh. If I buy something, hindi material, siguro something with my mom and family,” he explained.
Xian said he is thankful that all his wishes last year were fulfilled in such a short time. “Yung wish ko last year natupad siya. Then everything happened and yung pagmamahal nila is priceless kasi from the fans todo suporta sila, from the endorsements talagang pagmamahal ang pinapakita nila and everyone okay sila,” he said.
Xian admitted his only wish now is to be able to continue having a successful showbiz career.
In just the span of one year, Xian said he has learned to grow as a person and as an actor as well. I have more experience now sa lahat ng ginagawa ko,” he said.
