“That’s why I did take a moment when I was on the plane and I just said, ‘Lord, thank you,’” sabi ni Anne Curtis nang makapanayam siya ng PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) at iba pang media sa press conference para sa special issue ng YES! magazine na 2012 100 Most Beautiful Stars.
“I didn’t expect because I always said na just hope that things will come your way. Then, hope and dream, and have a goal.
“I think it’s just important that, as a person, you have personal goals that you want to achieve.
“Parang huwag kang maging kampante sa kung anong meron ka kasi it could just disappear just like that.
“I think it’s important to keep on working on yourself. Parang kung ano ‘yong gusto mong achieve-in, ‘yong goals, may matututunan ka.
“Hindi naman lahat ay given to you on a silver platter so you have to work hard.
“I’m so happy that it wasn’t an easy climb for me to get here. It took me 15 years.”
INDIE FILM IN HOLLYWOOD.
Sabi ni Anne, “You actually take time to think pa rin na I’m actually going to shoot an indie film. I was just, ‘Lord, thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.'
“It’s not something that… yeah, you joke around about it. But, di ba, it just fell into my lap?
“I’m happy and I just have to be grateful. Yes, it’s good to dream but you also have to be thankful for everything.”
“Well, I’ve always been open to it na sana makagawa ako ng indie film. Like, you know, sana may magpadala sa Viva ng script.
“It just so happened, di ba, hindi pala dito ‘yong indie film!
“I’m just so happy that I got it, I auditioned for it. Alam mo ‘yon, parang iba ‘yong feeling na nag-audition ka and you get it.”
“I’M A NOBODY THERE.”
Nahihiya ako noong una, pero it was an amazing experience because I am a nobody there.
“Lahat kami pantay-pantay lang. I’m starting from ground zero again.
“It was just so refreshing in a way na parang iba, e.
“Well, I know I had commitments here, as in’yong timing pa, di ba, may concert pa ako at may teleserye pa akong ginagawa.
“But I really asked permission from Boss Vic. I said that I really, really, wanted to do this.
“I said, you know, don’t even ask for that is [higher]. You know, whatever it is that they offer, ‘yon na ‘yon kasi I’m a nobody there.
B-MOVIE IN HOLLYWOOD.
“Well, that’s the in thing now in the States,” sabi ni Anne.
“If you look on iTunes, mayroon na silang indie film [category] kasi ‘yon ang ‘in’ thing ngayon, e, hipster-hipster indie film.
“Sobra akong happy that I’m part of it. I don’t even consider it like B-lister, parang luma na nga ‘yong term na ‘yon because the in thing now is indie flicks.”
Parang 12 hours is 12 hours.”
Dance concert. ‘Tapos guest ko ang mga Jabbawockeez!”
