“I’d rather not comment about it,” said Cristine Reyes who remained unfazed despite queries whether or not she and her sister Ara Mina have patched things up. The two had a falling out due to their much-publicized family problems. To date, Ara has yet to drop the libel and grave coercion cases that she filed against Cristine for allegedly maligning her in their exchange of text messages back in April.
Without going into any details, Cristine maintained that she handles her troubles with much optimism and is confident that things will turn out fine in the end. “Kailangan mo lang siya hayaan kasi kapag nagwo-worry ka sa problema, wala naman mangyayari. Hindi naman maso-solve yun kung proproblemahin mo or magdadamdam ka sa bahay. Just go on with your life. Hayaan na lang.”
Cristine said she is also grateful because her relationship with her family and close friends remain intact. When she needs help, she is confident that she has the best support system. “Siyempre kailangan surrounded ka ng friends mo. Hindi man sila ganon karami, alam mong totoong kaibigan sila. And of course sa family mo. Nitong long weekend lang kasama ko mga pamangkin ko. Sa lahat talaga nag-hold on ako kay God para meron kang guidance.”
On a lighter note, Cristine said is happy to be the newest endorser of Pantene Nature Care together with Angelica Panganiban. During the media launch for the brand’s new line of shampoo and conditioner, the young actress further talked about her good and bad hair days. “Wala naman akong problem sa hair ever since I started using it. Before kailangan talaga i-blower or iplantsa para maging maganda ang hair. But now after I take a bath, diretso na ako anywhere. Ngayon ko lang kasi siya na-try.”
She’s also excited about doing a movie for the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival, but she refused to disclose the title yet. As for the talks about her movie team-up with either John Lloyd Cruz or Gerald Anderson, Cristine said that she has no problem working with any of the male stars in ABS-CBN. “Wala akong naririnig about that (movie with John Lloyd). Yung kay Gerald, well, ako kahit sino ang makapareha ko. Basta para sa akin kung ano man dumating sa akin, blessing yun. Wala akong karapatang tumanggi or mamili kung sino ang magiging katrabaho ko,” she stated.
